Published by admin May 21st, 2006 in GeneralBefore I start using this blog I thought I’d better get my house in order and install Akismet and Bad Behavior.
I had an old version of Word Press running a private blog that I’d kept tucked away, it started getting spammed, I’d read over at Aral Balkan’s blog that Akismet and Bad Behaviour are the best combination for killing spam, so I thought I’d better get that up and running before I do anything else.
Hope it’s worked out for you. On mine, I’ve so far had no spam whatsoever with the combination. In fact, Bad Behavior has blocked nearly everything with just one message so far making it to Akismet (and I had one false positive in Akismet too.) Overall, not bad at all
