The last couple of weeks have been rather hectic.

A month ago on Monday I handed in my notice after accepting an offer at Work Communications, it wasn’t a bad offer, good money - better work - nicer office, but I knew it wasn’t going to stretch me THAT much.

At the time of accepting the offer I had checked with all the other opportunities to check they were all a no, the only one I couldn’t get an answer out of was Mike at Mook. When I spoke to him at the 2nd London Flash User Group Meeting he said he was going to be moving house and out in the US on work so might not be contactable for a while. I did send a cursory email but didn’t get a response so figured, that was a no.
So when I bumped into Mike at the next London Flash User meeting, I explained that I’d got a new job and that I was going to start in a few weeks. After he showed me a couple of Mooks latest projects on his laptop including Gangs of London for the PSP, I was pretty impressed to say the least.
On the walk back to the tube station I thought to myself, “I would drop everything to work for that guy”, so when I got home I wrote Mike a email saying just that. It worked, I had an interview the Wednesday after and by last Wednesday I had the offer.

I’m really looking forward to working for Mook and the challenges it’s going to bring. I’m going to be learning a lot over the next couple of month and hope to document as much as I can here.
