PaperVision3D and WiiFlash
Published by admin February 14th, 2007 in UncategorizedSo there’s loads of talk around PaperVision3D and how it’s going to “fundamentally alter the aesthetics of Flash on the web” thanks for the sound bite Aral.
There’s also loads of people all over the place hacking at the WiiMote. So far I’ve seem WiiJing, HalfLife played with the WiiMote and WiiFlash
There’s a new set of examples of PaperVision3D on their Blog. The one that stands out for me though is by a German guy called Joa. He’s taken 2 very exciting emerging technologies and merged them to produce, WiiFlash3D. The last bit of his clip is IMHO genius.
I hope to have a Wii before the end of the month and pre-ordered my PS3 today
I just remembered seeing Keith Peters playing with a hacked mouse containing a Phidget at FOTB, proof that there’s no such thing as an original idea
:edit: to add a ping to fWiidom
nice , i have watched the examples and i like em , i also rolled in the mailing list .
Was wondering if there is any proper documentation for PaperVision , never worked with 3D or 3D engines in flash before .
Thanks for the comment Moody.
Not sure about documentation, I imagine once Carlos and the rest of the team finish the first stable version there will be documentation.
One of Carlos’ main focuses is to keep it easy to use and learn. I imagine good documentation would be a large part of that.
I know there are nightly builds available through SVN, here
Go have a play!
PaperVidion 3D looks like its going to be cool
